Jupiter’s first programme is devoted to Vivaldi. This lively, powerful music requires a great reactivity and creativity, and will be treated as it should be, by brilliant international musicians and soloists who are accomplished in this repertory, under the artistic direction of the lutist Thomas Dunford. The programme will be made up of arias of jealousy, despair and love, sung by the mezzo-soprano Lea Desandre, punctuated by concerti for the lute, violin and bassoon. This community of musicians’ motivation is to make this so-called ‘ancient’ music both lively and modern.
